HOW TO PREVENT FLU?

Every year, thousands of people in Pakistan are infected with the flu. Here are some prevention tips for the flu and cold.

  1. WASH YOUR HANDS

Use soap or hand sanitizer to stay protected from germs.

  1.  EAT WELL AND SLEEP WELL.

Your immune system will be strengthened and be better equipped to tolerate infection if you maintain a balanced diet and get enough sleep. Consume plenty of antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables. Sleep for 7-8 hours every night if you can.

  1.  AVOID CLOSE CONTACT

Avoid close contact with people who have flu or sick. When you are sick, distance yourself from others to protect them from getting sick too.

  1.  AVOID TOUCHING YOUR EYES, NOSE OR MOUTH

Germs are often spread when a person touches something that is contaminated with germs and then touches his or her eyes, nose, or mouth.

  1. EXERCISE TO BOOST THE IMMUNE SYSTEM

Exercise, such as brisk walking or running, can strengthen the immune system, lowering the risk of getting the flu.

  1.  GET THE FLU VACCINE

Vaccines are the most effective way to avoid the flu. Get the flu vaccine every year with the advice of your primary care physician or a medical specialist. Flu viruses are constantly evolving, and each year, new vaccines are developed to protect against new strains.
